Description

The child law world can seem filled with strange concepts, myths and acronyms. Separating parents - whether married, divorced or not - will benefit from understanding how the law would deal with the issues they have to decide, such as: living arrangements, education and welfare concerns.

The course will combine presentations and an open question time to enable a small group (no more than 6 people) to explore each of the following topics:

  • Legal principles that underpin decision making.
  • Options for resolving disagreements/disputes.
  • Court as a ‘last resort’?
  • CAFCASS and the acronyms.
  • Completion of C100 application for CA/SIO or PSO.

The course runs for approximately 1 hour - and is delivered online by one of our expert mediators who has an extensive background in family law. The course will also include input from Anglia Ruskin Law Clinic.
