Sarah Calder
Trustee

Sarah has experience in supporting and developing law clinics in the East of England and is an advocate of family mediation.

Following an initial career in publishing with The Economist Books, Sarah qualified as a solicitor with a City law firm.  After several years of practice, she moved to Brazil with her young family, where she continued her interest in publishing, writing books aimed at the ex-pat community.

On her return to the UK, Sarah worked for a High Street law firm in Hertfordshire, a local charity and Citizens' Advice.  She is currently Director of Anglia Ruskin University’s Law Clinic, which she designed and launched in May 2018.

The Law Clinic’s main service offers free family law advice to the general public and it is through this work, that Sarah has become familiar with the work of The Family Mediation Trust in Cambridge.  The Law Clinic receives referrals from the Trust and, in turn, often recommends that clients contact the Trust following their advice appointments.
