In 2020 the University of Cambridge creating a new role – Professor of the Psychology of Education and Mental Health – which is based in its Faculty of Education. Professor Gordon Harold is the first post holder to this role.
Before this post he worked at the University of Sussex, where he led several, field-changing studies into the relationship between domestic adversity and young people’s mental health, enabling schools and teachers to do more to support pupils with depression, anxiety and other mental health problems.
