Wspieranie Sojuszu na rzecz Rodzin Separujących: Norfolk: marzec 2024 r

The Separated Parents Support Alliance for Norfolk is a dedicated meeting for all those who work in the separated parents’ arena, this could be in the court and legal world, conflict management, social care or any of the allied and critical support services such as Domestic Abuse Services or Contact Centers.

This meeting will look to explore some of the fundamental issues raised in the government response to the consultation to “Supporting earlier resolution of private family law arrangements”. Agenda

• Private Law Pilot Project: Chris Palmwalker: Head of Private Law Early Resolution, Family Justice Policy Court Recovery, Criminal and Family Justice Directorate – Chris is leading on the design and implementation of the new government pilot project to provide free legal advice to parties going through private law proceedings.
• Supporting Clients when Cases Include Domestic Abuse: Open discussion around how we are able to collectively improve how we support victims, perpetrators and children when cases include elements of domestic abuse.
• Amplifying the Childs Voice: Jonathan Dickens, Chair of the LFJB and Emeritus Professor of Social Work – Jonathan will build on the lessons learned at the LFJB conference on the child’s voice to explore how we can all enhance the child’s voice in how we work.
• Improving Communication: Polly Morgan, Law Clinic Director, and Associate Professor of Law at University of East Anglia: Introducing a new website being worked on to improve information to court uses in Norfolk.
• Family Procedure Rule Changes: on the 8^th April new rules will be rolled out regarding procedure rules for family courts. These changes enhance the way cases must engage with mediation and other forms of ADR. This session will check in to explore everyone’s understanding of the new rules.  

The afternoon will include a lot of open discussion and time for us to build relationships, ways of working and trust for the future.
