The Family Mediation Trust will be running a 75 minute training session for those working with separated parents. The session will explore how family mediation works and how you can use this as a tool to support your work.

With increasing court lists and the added delays created by Covid-19, the role of family mediation has never been more important. This session has been designed to give you an understanding of family mediation and will cover:

  • The family mediation process
  • Who can undertake family mediation
  • Legal aid support
  • The role of family mediation, before, during and after court proceedings
  • What cases mediation is most effective at supporting
  • Options for referral of cases 

The session will be run by Michael Mack, a Norfolk Magistrate and CEO of The Family Mediation Trust,  and Jane Bridge who is the Service's Professional Practice consultant and has been a family mediator for over 20 years.
