We understand that getting Legal Aid assessments right every time can be very tricky and is a constant worry to all contract holders.

Here at the Family Mediation Trust, we have held a Legal Aid Contract since our founding days in the early 1980s, so you know you are in very experienced, capable hands when it comes to the training we have to offer.

The course will focus on:

  • Key principles of assessment; income, savings, and equity
  • Gathering the correct evidence
  • Important questions to ask when making a booking
  • Passporting benefits
  • Undertaking the assessment
  • Completing the form
  • Challenging client types, e.g. students and self employed

This course is ideal for newly trained or accredited mediations, as well as for admin team members, or even experienced mediators who would like to refresh their approach to Legal aid.

This event will be run by our highly skilled and experienced PPC and accredited mediator Jane Bridge.
